Simeone Demo Days Continue
The Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in Philadelphia is in the midst of a series of “Demonstration Days,” held at noon on the fourth Saturday of each month and running through October. Each individual event features two or more racing sports cars from the Museum’s collection, making it one of the few museums in the world where visitors can actually see and hear famous racecars of the past being driven.

25th Collier Cup Race Set
As the clock ticks ever onward, some vintage events are now becoming vintage themselves. One such outing is SVRA’s vintage Collier Cup race for MGs at Watkins Glen, which celebrates its Silver Anniversary running this September 10-13 at the Optima Batteries U.S. Vintage Grand Prix!

Oz GP Tasman Revival
The famous Tasman Series lived again as nearly three dozen Formula 5000 cars turned up at Melbourne’s Albert Park in support of the Australian Grand Prix in late March. The majority of those 32 cars were Lolas as the British marque remains the dominant force, but there are enough other makes and various models to create a quite spectacular grid. Several homegrown Elfin and Matich cars added local flavor, while the Kiwis provided McRaes and Beggs as well as a McLaren, while a pair of Marches rounded out the field.

Goodwood Goes Golden
The 12th annual Goodwood Revival, set for September 18-20, will celebrate a pair of prominent Golden Anniversaries. A full 50 years has elapsed since Aston Martin clinched its World Sportscar Championship with victory in the six-hour Tourist Trophy race at the track, and 1959 was also the year in which the British Motor Corporation introduced Sir Alec Issigonis’ groundbreaking Mini design.

Elkhart Lake Vintage Fest
The 24th running of the Elkhart Lake Vintage Festival will be held at Road America on the weekend of September 11–13, with Stock Cars as this year’s featured category. Road America’s long straights and fast sweeping turns make it an ideal place for the ground-pounding stockers to stretch their legs.
