This August 7-8, the British Automobile Racing Club (BARC) will host the Lola Heritage International Sports Car Challenge race on a rare unlimited noise day at England’s historic Thruxton circuit. The event is the first race to be announced by the freshly launched Lola Heritage department based at the Lola factory in Huntingdon, and vast selection of various Lola models are expected to be on hand for the meeting.
Lola has a successful history at Thruxton with the company’s cars scoring several key victories in the glory days of the ’60s and ’70s. These include the 1969 Embassy Trophy won by Brian Redman in a Lola T70 MkIIIB, and the Kodak Trophy taken not long thereafter In the same model by 1967 World Champion Denny Hulme.
