History: Delivered new to Italian Chevron importer Eris Tondelli. Then raced in national sports car events and hill climbs in Italy by several owners until in the 1980s belonging to well-known Italian collector Corrado Cupellini. Imported from Italy in the late 1980s by Louisiana-based collector Monte Shallet. Then selling to John Hall, Ralph Manaker and John Feiber. With the present owner since 2004. A well-documented example with known ownership.
Condition: Looked after by Chevron expert Dave Vegher for more than 30 years, then with Phil Reilly & Co. In outstanding condition with excellent restoration and race prep receipts. 2.0-liter Cosworth BDG on fuel injection rebuilt by Vegher. Hewland FT200 5-speed. A fast competition example that has had success in historic racing events.
